Children’s Dentistry

children should receive dental care as soon as their first tooth comes in. All of the choices you make for your child in infancy can impact their oral health in the future. A healthy oral environment can mean less tooth decay and proper jaw formation that will save your child from challenges in the future.

When is the ideal time to visit a dentist?

A child will general begin teething between 6-12 months. Breast milk and solid foods can be high in sugar and cause small cavities to form. From one to 6 years of age it is important to develop good oral hygiene practices with you child, including brushing twice daily and regular flossing.  The focus in the early years is maintaining a non-toxic oral environment where their teeth can thrive.
